Q. How do I order a cake?

We recommend a full consultation for Wedding cakes to discuss your requirements. For all celebration, cupcakes and cookies please ring or send us an email. After you are happy with the design a 50% deposit is taken with the remainder of the balance to be paid in full a month before the event.

Q. How do I care for my cake?

Our cakes do not like being put in the refrigerator! Once you have received the cake, you can store it in a cool, dry place and out of direct sunlight. You can refrigerate or freeze them once they have been cut to preserve them. If you would like to keep any decorations such as sugar flowers or figurines, remove them from the cake and store in a container preferably with some anti- moisture crystals.

Q. When should I order my wedding cake?

To avoid disappointment, wedding cakes and celebration cakes should be ordered 3 – 4 months in advance, particularly for summer events. However, this is only a guide and sometimes we are able to accommodate last minute orders.

Q. Do I have to choose something from your cake galleries?

No. Our wedding cake and celebration cake galleries are there to inspire you. Please let us know what ideas you have in mind and we will create a cake to suit your requirements.

Q. Can you deliver our cake?

We can deliver our wedding cakes and celebration cakes and cookies. Wedding cakes are personally delivered and also usually set up at the venue. A delivery and set up charge may occur depending on the venue locality.
You can also pick up the cake however, once the cake leaves us we take no reponsibity for any damage.

Q. How do we choose the design of our cake?

The size of the cake will depend on the number of guests you need to cater for. If your cake is being served as dessert, the size is going to be twice as big. When designing your cake, you need to consider the style and theme of the occasion and the personality of the individual(s) for whom the cake is being made.Photographs, magazine clippings, stationery, etc. can all help when it comes to designing the cake.

With regards to wedding cakes, it’s certainly a good idea to bring along any of the above to your consultation together with colour swatches and pictures of flowers and pieces of fabric so we can incorporate one or more of the elements into your wedding cake.

Q. What different flavours do you offer?

We offer an extensive choice of flavours and fillings for you to choose from. There is a list on the flavours page for you to look at. If you have any particular flavour in mind that is not there, please let us know and we will try our best to accommodate you.

Q. What if we need to make any alterations or changes?

Design changes are possible to make. The final design is not set until a month before the event. Any additional price changes will be added or taken from the final balance .
If for any reason the cake is cancelled  a month before the event, we reserve the right to keep the deposit.
If you need to move your date we will try to where possible if not it will be treated as a cancellation

Q. Can I have Swarovski diamantes on my cake?

Yes you can.The crystals are avaliable in many colours and give cakes the wow factor. Swarovski crystals are not edible and will have to be removed prior to serving guests this responsibilty falls to the client and caterers.

Q. Can my cake have dummy tiers?

Entire cakes can be made from dummies if you so wish. Dummies allow you to have larger and more spectacular cakes without the extra cost and are the perfect way of adding height to your design.

Q. Can I have fresh flowers on my cake?

We prefer to work in sugar flowers as we then have more control over the final look. However we are flexible and if you would like fresh flowers we are happy to work with your florist in arranging them for your cake at the event. Cakes unless stated are priced without fresh flowers as it is dependant on the florist and type of flowers required.
